26 Jul Enzo’s Tour de France Chamois Cream Giveaway Results
The 98th Tour de France concluded Sunday with Australian Cadel Evans coming out on top of the Schleck Brothers by 94 seconds. This year’s race was full of excitement, plenty of drama, and far too many scary moments. 2011 was a year that finally saw US based Garmin come to the forefront with an overall team victory and 4 stage wins. But the real story was the battle between Andy & Frank Schleck & Cadel Evans while we tensely awaited the roar from Contador’s legs after he lost time to a huge pile-up on day 1. And few of his countrymen will forget Thomas Voeckler’s heroic 10 days in the Maillot jaune.
Ultimately, it was Evan’s who put forth a heroic effort of his own in the individual time trial to finally claim what has eluded him for the past 6 years becoming the first Australian Champion of the Tour de France.
Although this year’s Tour provided plenty of excitement for cycling Fans, that didn’t prevent Enzo from making things a little more interesting with the Enzo’s Tour de France Chamomis Cream Giveaway. It saddens Enzo that not a single of our many entries managed to win! In fact, not a single entrant managed to put Evans on the top step (most people guessed Contador or Andy Schleck taking first). Furthermore, not a single of the competition jerseys were correct except for several who picked Cavendish winning the green jersey.
Enzo knew that the winner would have to work for the chamois cream but few could have predicted much of how this year’s race panned out. Enzo wants to thank all who participated.
